Scheduling and job information

You can fill in your availability super easy via our app! Make sure your availability in the app is always up to date, which means that you have filled it in every Monday for 2 weeks in advance. If your availability is up to date, the app will show you the jobs that best match your availability!

At Mise en Place you decide how often you work. Our guideline is to work at least once a month. It’s not for nothing that our motto is ‘work where, when and with whom you want’! When you schedule yourself for a shift, it means it is definite, and we expect you to be there. Always pay attention to the shift description, which states the age-requirements, info about the travel reimbursement, etc. By checking this, you will not face unexpected surprises!
Pay attention! Have you been hired, but are you only 16 years old? Then different rules apply, and you will only be able to work at short shifts at the football stadiums!

If you are going to work at a multi-day event, you will stay overnight on location. For an overnight stay you have to arrange your own belongings (tent, air mattress, sleeping bag, etc.). For each multi-day event, a packing list is sent in advance to make sure you don’t forget anything!

Are you scheduled for a job? Then take a look at the app to check all the information. You will also always receive a confirmation from the Support Office 3 days prior to the job with all the information!

Work

The reporting time for your job is, unless otherwise stated, at all times 30 minutes before the start of the shift on location.

If you are going to be late, call the person present on location. If you know in advance that you will be late, for example due to a delay with public transport, report this as soon as possible. Then we can contact the customer so that they are not faced with surprises.

When checking in you will be asked to identify yourself, for this reason you should always bring your ID with you to the job. Break always takes place in consultation with the supervisor. Eating and drinking is allowed during the break, provided it is out of sight of the visitor.

The end time of your scheduled shift is an estimate. In the catering industry, it is not always easy to predict busy moments. This means that you may be allowed to go home a little earlier, but you may also be asked to work a little longer. The relationship can always ask you to work overtime, extra help is always appreciated! You will of course be paid for the hours you work overtime.

You can enter the hours worked via our app within 4 hours after your job has ended!

Sickness

If you are sick, call the Support Office at least 24 hours before the start of your shift. You do this by calling 085-0240130.

Transport and declarations

For each project, your Project Manager will look at the best possible option regarding transport. He or she will contact you no later than 3 days before the start of the event to discuss the options. If public transport is not possible, the Project Manager ensures that departures are organized from a central point in the region, such as a central station. It is your responsibility to transport yourself home from this point. If you go by public transport, always check whether you can travel with a 40% discount.

For some events it is possible to go to the location with your own transport. If this is the case, the Project Manager will communicate this with you in advance and you must request a parking ticket.

Depending on the project, the travel costs are reimbursed. This can always be found in the app with the project. To be eligible for reimbursement of your travel expenses, you must always upload your claim in the app within 24 hours of the end of your working day.
